Canadian-Based Company Looking for Junior Engineer
Wood Plc is looking for a Junior Underground Mining Engineer in Vancouver, Canada. Candidates will report directly to the Consulting Manager.
Successful candidates must be able to perform engineering functions along with assisting and supporting consulting jobs. Applicants must also provide support to clients and co-workers within the company.
Applicants must be comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary work environment with project and engineering exposure in the mining and consulting business.
Successful applicants must also be able to gather updated information at mining sites and meet with clients while monitoring work performances constantly.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a strong understanding of underground mining and safe mining practices. They must have a strong knowledge of underground mining and safe mining practices. Undergraduates in mining engineering are welcome as long as they are proficient in software like Vulcan, MineSight, Deswik, and AutoCAD. Furthermore, candidates must be eligible for registration as an engineer or Engineer-in-Training with a Canadian Engineering Profession Association.
Applicants must also be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Products. Applicants must be willing to work for extended hours in remote areas. Non-Canadian candidates must show an authorization letter that they are eligible to work in the country without any sponsorship from the company.
