Nokia’s research arm, Nokia Bell Labs, has partnered with Vale, the Brazil-based global mining giant, to implement a cutting-edge cognitive monitoring network aimed at enhancing the performance, reliability, and safety of mining operations. The new agreement builds on the existing collaboration between Nokia and Vale at the Carajás iron-ore mine in Brazil, the largest open-pit iron ore mine in the world.
