Mining Industry’s IT Recruitment Activity In India Falls
According to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database, India’s mining industry saw a 9.2% decrease in IT hiring activity in November 2022 compared to the previous month.
When compared to the data from October 2022, the industry’s overall hiring is down by 8.58% in November 2022.
IT jobs accounted for 7.36% of total hiring activity in the mining industry in November 2022, a 1.11% increase from the previous three-month average share.
Out of the total job titles, the top five job roles commanded a 100% share of the total IT recruitment activity in India’s mining industry. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations recorded a 25% share in November 2022 thereby registering a flat growth over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 25% share – a decrease of 80% over the previous month.
Computer Support Specialists held a share of 25% thereby registering a flat growth from October 2022. Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 25% which is 66.67% down as compared to the previous month.
The top five companies, in terms of job numbers, accounted for an average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s mining industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
