Sonic Drilling

A Sonic drilling campaign is in progress, involving two drills, and 40 holes have already been completed. Over the upcoming weeks, an additional 60 holes will be drilled in the eastern sector of the Patris property within the Kéwagama group.

The project is slated for completion by the first week of April. In total, the plan entails 4000 m of sonic drilling across 100 boreholes, aimed at characterizing glacial dispersion trains within till layers overlaid with lacustrine clays.

About the Patris Property

The Patris project, entirely owned by Midland, encompasses 299 claims spanning approximately 117 km2. It is situated less than 10 km northwest of the renowned Doyon/Westwood-Bousquet-La Ronde gold mining camp.

The Patris property presents significant gold potential, as it encompasses the Manneville Fault for over 8 km and the La Pause Fault for more than 10 km. These faults are recognized as subsidiaries of the prominent Destor-Porcupine Fault Zone.

The Patris property encompasses over 5 km of the fault contact between the sediments of the Kéwagama Group and the mafic and ultramafic volcanics of the Malartic Group. Numerous historical gold showings are located near this contact, including the Gadoury showing, which yielded 6.3 g/t Au over 1.0 m, and the McDermott showing, which yielded 8.6 g/t Au over 1.2 m.

A Sonic drilling program totaling 4000 m is scheduled across 115 drill holes to assess geochemical dispersion patterns within the glacial till covered by lacustrine clays.
