Bechtel Mining and Metals has been offered a key agreement inside the development of the Dubbo rare earths and important minerals project in New South Wales.

The US-based contractor will perform front-stop engineering layout (FEED) offerings for Dubbo, commencing the task as much as US investment possibilities.

Bechtel will progress design of both the manner plant and non-system infrastructure (NPI) centers as Australian Strategic Materials (ASM) gears up for Dubbo’s execution section.

The works will shape a key element of ASM’s ongoing feasibility examine, and permit the employer to progress key investment activities to guide a final funding decision.

ASM hopes the following steps taken on the Dubbo venture will set it up for similarly funding in Australia and the United States.

The Bechtel agreement makes Dubbo eligible for ability Engineering Multiplier Program funding from the Export-Import Bank of the United States, with ASM submitting a draft software to guide more than eighty per cent of agreement prices.

Bechtel Mining and Metals president Ailie MacAdam emphasized the organization’s dedication to ASM.

“The Dubbo task is a globally strategic mission in the rare earths and critical mineral region,” she stated. “We are overjoyed to be working with ASM in near partnership to progress the project and function it for success.
