Dimapur, July 29: Iron ore shipments on the Great Lakes totaled 5.8 million tons in June, representing a 43.6 percent increase over 2020. The shipments were also 6.6 percent higher than the five-year average for the month.
The iron ore trade has reached 20.7 million tons so far this year, up 20.6 percent from 17.2 million tons in the previous year. For the first half of 2021, iron shipments were 5.7 percent higher than the five-year average.
