Azimut Exploration (AZM.V) has released more assay results from its Galinee lithium property in the James Bay region of Quebec where it completed a 5,000 meter maiden drill program last year. And it is remarkable to see the intervals Azimut is able to pull out of the ground at Galinee. Several holes intersected lithium values exceeding 1.5% with one eye-catching result containing 5.13% Li2O over 6 meters while drilling a lower grade (but still excellent for lithium) 2.13% Li2O over a total length of 44 meters also clearly adds tonnage ànd material.

The main purpose of the drill program was to test the downdip extension of the Adina property, owned by Winsome Resources next door. That also explains why Azimut’s mineralized intersections are located pretty deep below surface and in an ideal world both properties would be combined as the Adina property contains the near-surface material while Galinee has the higher grade but deeper mineralization. The Galinee property is operated by a 50/50 joint venture between Azimut Exploration and SOQUEM, a subsidiary of Investissement Quebec.
