Bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators, the conference showcased groundbreaking advancements in sustainability, collaboration, and technological innovation.
Record-Breaking Attendance and Notable Keynotes
IMARC 2024 achieved record attendance, with over 9,000 delegates, 600 speakers, 800 mining companies, and 500 exhibitors participating. The event’s scale emphasized its critical role in the mining industry’s ecosystem.
Federal Minister for Resources Madeleine King opened the conference with a keynote address highlighting the sector’s pivotal role in achieving net-zero goals.
“The resources sector is crucial to Australia’s prosperity and our ability to meet net-zero targets,” King declared.
New South Wales Minister for Finance and Natural Resources Courtney Houssos reinforced the state’s leadership in sustainable investments:
“To meet net-zero commitments, we will need six times the amount of critical minerals currently mined—and we know all of this can be found in NSW,” Houssos said.

Brent Hutchinson, general manager of Terrain Tamer, highlighted the conference’s global impact:

Roxanne Bekker, regional business development manager at MASPRO, praised the event’s role in fostering meaningful client engagement:
“IMARC is where I catch up with the same clients, touching base and finding out what the new problems in the industry are,” she said.
National sales manager Peter Lowenhoff shared a similar sentiment, noting the depth of conversations across the sector.

As IMARC 2024 concluded, organizers announced the conference’s return to Sydney from October 21–23, 2025. With over 70% of exhibition space already booked, next year’s event is poised to expand on this year’s achievements.
